Privacy Policy

Last updated August 4, 2026

This policy explains what Mechtasia collects when you learn with us and how we protect it.

Data we collect

We collect account details (name, email), billing metadata, course progress, certificate records, and support messages you send us.

Usage telemetry helps us improve playback, search, and completion flows.

How we use data

Data powers authentication, entitlements, invoices, certificates, cohort scheduling, and customer support.

We do not sell personal information to third-party advertisers.

Cookies and analytics

Mechtasia groups cookies and similar technologies into three categories: Essential, Analytics, and Marketing.

Essential cookies keep you signed in, protect checkout, and maintain core site security. These are always active because the platform cannot function without them.

Analytics cookies and related technologies are optional. In production, Mechtasia may load Google Analytics 4 (Consent Mode) and Microsoft Clarity (Consent API v2) with storage denied by default. While denied, those services may receive limited cookieless measurement; cookies, identifiers, and cross-session features are not enabled until you grant Analytics. Aggregated client diagnostics sent to our logging endpoint also activate only after Analytics consent.

Marketing cookies are optional and control advertising-related Consent Mode signals. When you enable Marketing, Mechtasia grants GA4 advertising storage signals (ad storage, ad user data, and ad personalization) and Clarity ad storage so campaign measurement can work when GA4 is linked to Google Ads. Mechtasia does not install an in-app Google Ads (AW-) tag.

On your first visit (and after material policy updates), you can accept all cookies, reject non-essential cookies, or open Cookie settings from the banner or site footer to choose categories individually.

Third-party processors

Mechtasia uses service providers for authentication (Supabase Auth), database hosting (Supabase), video delivery (Mux), payment processing (Paddle), analytics (Google Analytics 4 with Consent Mode), and session analytics (Microsoft Clarity with Consent API v2).

Each processor receives only the data needed to perform its function under contractual safeguards.

Retention and contact

We retain account and certificate records while your account is active and as required for billing, tax, and fraud prevention.

You can delete your account anytime from Account → Settings → Security. Deletion removes learner data such as enrollments, progress, and certificates. Anonymized billing records may be retained where required by law. You may sign up again with the same email, but it will be a new account without prior purchases or progress.

Questions? Email info@mechtasia.com or review our Refund Policy for billing issues.
